Entry requirements: One entry per round per person, everyone is welcome to contribute, from technician to professor, as long as you generated the image.

 

We received a variety of submissions throughout the Michaelmas term from student interns through to senior researchers. Our panel of judges (unrelated to any of the entrants) chose their top three scientific images from the entries.

The second and third places were tied between:

Yorgo Modis, Group Leader Modis Lab: Cryo-EM reconstruction of a viral capsid particle formed from an endogenous retroviral capsid protein

Ben Gregory, EPLS intern, Clatworthy Lab: Immune cells of the Mouse Colon

 

The 2024 winning entries are now hanging on level 4 JCBC, showcasing what our labs are doing and enlightening our research environment.

The 2025 winners will be displayed on level 5 JCBC.
