We use advanced bacterial genomics and metagenomics to better understand the evolution and spread of pathogens locally, nationally and globally.
Realising the complexity of big data and its limited understanding in most developing and underdeveloped countries, we mine genomic data for robust, risk-informative diagnostic markers. I use these markers and design smart detection probes as field-compatible technologies.
This technology-driven global health approach makes my research accessible to the communities who need it most.
